Touch Rugby Tournament

19 June 2018

On Friday our annual Touch Rugby Tournament took place at school on Upper Field. The event was the first tour fundraiser for our senior rugby tour to Chile and Argentina next summer. With over 150 players taking part, each team was comprised of current 4th and 5th year tourists, an adult, a female, and junior players. The event had a wonderful atmosphere with matches played in great spirit and a lovely way to start the fundraising process.

The tourists now look forward to this autumn where there will be more fundraising events to take part in. Abingdon School will also be hosting Craighouse School, Chile between 16-18 September playing the 1st XV on 17 September as part of a reciprocal hosting arrangement for the forthcoming 2019 senior rugby tour.

Our U13s' rugby season started on Wednesday with the early season Dragon School Festival. The theme of the day was the first principle of rugby 'go forward' and our team pressed really hard both with and without the ball and played really well. hours ago
