Boarding houses feature extended study room facilities and social hubs

Sixth formers have single study bedrooms

The new boarding houses are sustainably constructed, featuring air source heat pumps and solar panels.

Not just friends at school but friends for life.

A cosy home from home environment.

Our exciting new accommodation has enhanced our existing facilities for both day students and boarders.

Communal rooms are vibrant, cheerful and practical; study rooms offer a quiet space for academic work; and the kitchenettes allow boarders to prepare their own hot drinks and snacks if desired. Most significant, are the addition of single study bedrooms for our sixth form boarders, providing a truly personalised space in which students can rest, relax and apply themselves to their studies.

At Abingdon, we are passionate about investing in our facilities, so that our students have access to the most up to date resources and technology and are able to benefit from an optimum educational experience.

Indeed our strategic vision is part of an investment story which, in recent history, has seen the construction of our Sports Centre; Science Centre; 6th Form Centre, Library and Art Centre; and dedicated Business, Economics and Computer Science building. Just as investment in these past projects has benefited our current student body; investment in projects today will benefit both current and future Abingdon generations.

That’s the reason we are so excited about this boarding house project and why your support can really make a difference. Your donation will help us continue to provide the best possible facilities for our current and future students; enabling us to build a sound future both for them and for Abingdon School. For every room sponsor we are offering a plaque to be inscribed with your name and displayed outside the room you and/or your family are choosing to sponsor.

You can choose to support the next chapter of our boarding story by sponsoring one of the rooms our current boarders have named.  Every donor will be offered the chance to have a dedication plaque with their name and chosen text next to the room they have sponsored.
