We offer a variety of Open Events and visit opportunities throughout the year which you are welcome to choose from.
If you are keen to learn all you can about our school, we would recommend the following sequence of visits to give you the very best insight into life at Abingdon and our admissions process:
- Whole School Open Day (Saturday 3 October 2026): A fun-filled and informative Saturday event in the Autumn Term which offers a wonderful introduction to the school for all of the family.
- Discover Abingdon: Designed as an early visit for parents, these events offer a tour of the school as well as formal presentations from our Head, Senior Deputy and Pastoral Deputy. Boarding tours are also available.
- Inside Abingdon: These shorter events include a school tour followed by informal refreshments during which you will be able to chat to a variety of key staff members. You are very welcome to bring your child/ren.
- Abingdon Tasters: An opportunity for your child to experience real life at Abingdon, both inside the classroom and out. Parents are also offered tours, refreshments and additional information about our entry process.
We also offer private visits for families who are unable to make our open event dates. You can, of course, come to as many or as few of these as you wish; the Admissions Team is always available, via email or phone, to answer your questions and support you.
