On the final day before half term the Junior and Intermediate athletics squads travelled to the Horspath athletics track to compete in round one of the National Track and Field Cup.
Strong performances from Joshua Mensah, Callum Aiken, Felix Kind and Tom Robson helped the junior athletes secure 377 points to finish 1st overall. This granted them qualification to the regional round of the competition and the chance to qualify for the national final held at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham in July.
The intermediate athletes also secured their place at the regional final with impressive results across the squad. Special mention must go to Liam O’Hickey, James Connelly, Daniel Burger, Luka Shanidze, Aidan Cloney and Youssef O’Sullivan for all scoring over 20 points in their respective events.
