The Economics department recently organised a day trip to London. 32 lower sixth pupils plus three members of staff enjoyed a walking tour of the City of London in the morning followed by a visit to the London School of Economics in the afternoon. The walking tour took in sights such as the London Stock Exchange, the new Bloomberg building and finished up at the Bank of England. In the afternoon, we were very lucky to be hosted at the LSE by Professor Sir John Hills (OA) who gave a highly illuminating talk on inequality.
