From the Headmaster to all parents:

Dear Parents

I’m writing this having just emerged from the fantastic joint production with St Helen and St Katharine of As You Like It. It was set in Carnaby Street in the Swinging 60s, providing the excuse for some great clothes and superb tunes.

It has been so uplifting to see our students involved in live drama again after a long pause. Last week we hosted another joint production for 5th Year students called Chaos, which reflected the exhilarating but often confusing experience of growing up, and there’s more to come, with Frankenstein taking place in the Amey Theatre next week.

I would urge you to come along if you can make it as the standard of performance in these productions is exceptional and it is a privilege to see the quality of work on offer. I’m delighted too that some of our Sixth Form students are also planning to take a production to the Edinburgh Fringe in the summer, which will no doubt give them memories to cherish.

Best wishes, Mike Windsor

5th Year parents – NCS summer programme – parental information

A member of the National Citizen Scheme will be speaking to the 5th Years in next week’s assembly about their government-approved summer programme.  They offer a fun-filled two week programme which also helps students develop their skills.  They have sent a letter for parents and a short promotional video (which I will be sending to the 5th Year).  These can be accessed via this LINK.  You will find all the information here including how students can sign up.

Reminder – Parents’ webinar: Supporting my child with social media and online safety, Tuesday 8 February 7pm UK time.

Further details can be found on the separate email sent to parents last week. We look forward to seeing you there.
