Geography trip to Slovenia August 2020: Parents of pupils in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and Lower Sixth
Abingdon School Geography Department, in conjunction with STC, are running a geography adventure trip to Slovenia this summer leaving on or around August 17 (+/- 1 day dependent on flights at the time of booking). It is an 8 day trip including a vast array of geography, integrated with activities such as rafting, hiking and cycling allowing the boys to see as much of the country as possible. The cost of the trip is £1880.
Attached is the Pre-booking information from STC which includes details of the trip, an itinerary and information on how to sign your son up for the trip. In addition, you must complete the school electronic consent form. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Donnelly.
Abingdon School is a Nut Free School
We have several boys who have a serious nut allergy that can cause anaphylaxis. Even small traces of nuts on the hand of someone else can be enough to cause a reaction. For this reason we would like to remind everyone that nuts must not be brought into school.
Health Centre
If your son is feeling unwell please do not send him into school. It is the school policy that pupils need to remain off school for 48 hours from the last incident of vomiting or diarrhoea. Please see the link which gives advice from the NHS.
Titan Mouthguards
We have received a number of concerns over the recent week regarding the Titan mouthguards provided after the fittings carried out in the first week of term. These range from the length of the mouthguard being too short, poor fitting of the mouthguard through to the colour of the mouth guard. The Sports Department are disappointed that these issues have arisen and if you also feel this is the case they would encourage you to contact Titan Customer Services direct by e-mail [email protected].
