Harry Capon and Ed Bury are pictured with their adult hierodula sp preying mantis. Initially just 1.5cm long this impressive adult female has grown to 10cm in the last six months. Native to Asia this genus of mantis are ferocious ambush predators capable of catching other animals their own mass and eating them while they are still alive.
