Twenty-three members of Austin House took to the slopes of Northern Italy at the start of the Christmas Holidays, enjoying the wonderful snow conditions, empty slopes and clear blue skies amidst the backdrop of the famous “Drei Zinnen” (Three Peaks) in the Dolomites of Sexten. In one of the most dramatic and picturesque of mountain ranges, the slopes of Sexten provided the perfect challenge for all skiing abilities and the students all made fantastic progress over the course of a great week on the piste.

The added opportunity to watch and ski alongside some of the world's best ski cross racers was certainly one not to be missed and an afternoon watching the FIS Ski Cross World Cup in Innichen, whilst skiing the slope alongside the course, was one of the highlights of the trip (as well as the free Audi caps that the boys took full advantage of!).

The first Austin House Ski Trip proved a great success and I know that the boys will treasure some wonderful experiences with great friends from their house – we will be sure to make a return visit in the future.
