The Lower School competed in the Abingdon Athletics Multi-Event at Tilsley Park. Abingdon welcomed athletes from MCS, Moulsford, New College School and Abingdon Prep to compete for honours on the track and in the field.
Competitors were kept busy throughout the afternoon with the chance to enter five events; a sprint, middle distance, throw, jump and relay event.
The U12 team accumulated enough points to finish 3rd overall, with impressive performances from Elliot Broadbent, who won the Shot Put and finished on the podium in every event he entered. Arthur Strong also impressed the Abingdon crowd by winning the 200m.
The U13 team had a superb afternoon and finished the competition in 1st place. Impressive performances came from Harvey Vinton (Long Jump), Josh Mensah (Shot Put) and Callum Aiken (200m).
The highlight of the afternoon was the U13 200m with Callum and Josh being separated by only 0.24s to finish 1st and 2nd respectively.
