On Tuesday, 30 students from across the town came together for a Peer Support Lead training session. Students worked in groups to share ideas on how they may support younger students with issues such as bereavement, friendship breakdown or body image. Sixth form students were recruited for the role of PSL in Spring 2022 and have enjoyed shared training to support the work they do in their own schools. PSLs provide pastoral support in one to one conversations, assemblies and tutor time and are a friendly point of contact for younger students. We look forward to bringing the group together again later in the term.
