We travelled to Bradfield to play the first match in the Nationals competition. The team consisted of Nikhil Vyas, Will Pearson, Will Taylor, Ben Goriely-McDonald and Felix Loeffen, making his debut for the school. Our four old hands played superbly, winning their matches against respectable opposition without dropping a single game. The most exciting match was the 5 string; Felix was playing a boy about twice his size, but was not intimidated. After a massive struggle culminating in the fifth set, Felix fought through fatigue to win 3-2, to secure a memorable victory on his debut. He was unanimously voted man of the match by the others. The team is looking like an outstanding unit going forward in the Nationals, and our prospects are really exciting.
