Schools’ Mace: First Round success
29 November 2017
Abingdon's entrants to the prestigious Schools' Mace debating competition, organised nationally by the English Speaking Union, successfully passed through the first regional round hosted by Bradfield College last night. Alasdair Czaplewski and Louis Brosnan, both in the Lower Sixth, opposed Bradfield's motion that “This house believes that Members of Parliament should be paid the median wage” and impressed the judges. The next round will be early in the new year.
