Last Friday 45 new scholars were presented with their gold ties by the Headmaster in a ceremony in front of their parents in the Amey Theatre. These awards recognised excellence in academic work, drama, sport, design and technology, art and music. Many of the boys were new to the school, but also the excellence of current Abingdonians was recognised across the full range of disciplines. These included four boys who had excelled in last year's third year, and three out of last summer's outstanding GCSE cohort.
