Last weekend saw our U12 and U15 VII squads have their first proper tournament of the campaign at Magdalen College School, and our 1st VII had their second tournament of the season at Shiplake College. Unfortunately our U14 VII was due to go to Dean Close School, but the poor weather meant the pitches were unplayable so it was cancelled.
An excellent day for our U12 and U15s saw the boys get an opportunity to develop their skills and seven prowess with matches for both age groups against host Magdalen as well Aylesbury, Portsmouth, Wellingborough and Sir Thomas Rich's. There was no winner of the tournament as scores on the day were not important, but performance was the main indicator of success. Even so, our U15s would have won the tournament losing one match and having the best points difference.
The 1st VII had an equally successful day at Shiplake College winning the Vase – beating Worth, Seaford and New Hall, and narrowly losing two very close matches against strong Tonbridge and Bedford sides. Sixteen schools from all over the south competed with our 1st VII really impressing with some quality performances.
Over half term there are two more big Sevens events. On Saturday 10 February our U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 VIIs sides take part in the prestigious Warwick School Sevens which invites schools from all over the UK.
The following Sunday our U14 and U16 VIIs are at Wellington College for a festival to test themselves against strong opposition.

Saturday 24 – Monday 26 March: Sedbergh School Army Super Tens for 1st Team
