Mathematics is a creative, interconnected discipline that equips pupils with essential tools to navigate the world. We use a variety of teaching and learning styles to develop fluency, conceptual understanding, communication, reasoning and problem solving skills, whilst building confidence and enthusiasm. Form teachers lead daily lessons in Years 1 to 5, and pupils in Years 6 to 8 benefit from specialist teaching. Beyond the classroom, we stimulate interest through school-wide Maths days and external competitions like the Primary and Junior Mathematics Challenges.
