During the summer holidays, 32 students ranging in age from 4th year to U6th travelled to Athens for the annual sailing trip to Greece.
50ft Bavaria yachts were chartered from Alimos marina and the staff and the students sailed the boats around the Aegean Islands. The route was challenging with days ranging in length from 4 hours of sailing up to 13 hours for the longest 70 mile journey. Many Islands were visited both for lunch stops and overnight stays including Idhra, Milos, Aegina, Kythnos, Kea, Dokos and Serifos.
Over the two week period approximately 450 miles of sailing was completed and the students will be able to use this mileage towards day and coastal skipper qualifications.
