This year’s middle school drama production was special. Mr Phillips (OA 2005) commissioned writer Edward Rowett (also OA 2005!) to write a brand new play specially for this production. Eleven. told the story of a hapless cricket B team and the tribulations and joys of B team fixtures, whilst also touching on prevalent issues in young people’s lives today. Staged in traverse, Mr Lloyd and his team did an amazing job of putting a sunny afternoon outside the pavilion on stage. A deceptively tricky play to get right, the cast rose to the challenge of delivering the fabulous humour and poignancy of the piece. Well done to all involved!
