The canoe polo team enjoyed success in their recent tournament in Cheltenham on Saturday evening. Six teams from across the South West of England were in attendance with each team playing a total of five games. Abingdon won four games and drew one with Malvern College. Each member of the team scored a goal with Hamish McAlpine (L6th) being the team’s top scorer and Simon Maddison demonstrated some excellent goal keeping. Three of the boys who played are off to Liverpool next weekend for their monthly training with the GB Canoe Polo U21 Development Academy.
