On Saturday, 8 boys from the school rifle club attended the British Schools small-bore competition at Bisley. It was a tough match since this was the first time shooting outdoors for some of our shooters and 40 shots is more than we can do when training at school. Additionally, the cold weather added shivering to the list of problems faced by our shooters when lying on the firing point.

However, everyone pulled through and the boys enjoyed the opportunity to shoot outdoors face to face with their opposition. Particular congratulations go to Noah Keighley who came first in the 12s’ category and Drew Farwell winning 16s’ with an outstanding score of 387/400 placing him 2nd out of everyone present.

Overall, the team did very well and everyone should be proud of their achievements.
