During the Easter break, 38 pupils and 5 staff travelled to the battlefields of World War One to visit sites associated with Ypres, the Somme and Arras. Students also paid their respects to OAs at Pozieres Cemetery on the Somme and two pupils were able to visit the memorials of family members who had died in the war. It was a fascinating trip and the pupils involved learnt a great deal about the war itself and how it has been remembered. There was also time for some chocolate shopping in Ypres!
