The Abingdon School Clay Club went to their first fixture of the year at Honesberie Shooting School. The event was wonderfully well attended with schools from around the country and the atmosphere around the ground was superb. The Abingdon A, B and C teams all shot wonderfully and there were some genuinely tricky targets – the on report rabbit clays going in opposite directions were especially technical and there was good height on the driven clay from the high tower. For several students this was their first taste of competition shooting and they acquitted themselves admirably. We are all looking forward to the next event.
