End of Term Reports
These will be posted to the parent portal by the end of Friday. Years 1-5 have short written reports and the Sixth Form have the longer form of reports. Fifth Year reports do not have Housemaster comments this session.
Term Calendar and Key Dates
As you will be aware the School is not printing a hard-copy calendar so parents should refer to the online calendar which is kept regularly up to date. Any amendments to Summer Term 2015 events made after today will be indicated clearly. Parents may wish to consult the online calendar and the term dates page now to remind themselves of the beginnings and ends of each half-term. Owing to technical difficulties I am sorry that the online calendar at present cannot be searched, so attached is an export which can be searched.
Fifth Year: Work Experience
The yellow forms for the Work Experience Scheme must be signed by you and your son and returned to Mr Litchfield by Friday 1 May 2015, which is the end of the second week back after the Easter break. Any forms submitted after that deadline will not be able to be processed. Electronic copies of the form can be downloaded from the Careers pages of the studysite, all boys have been sent a link to this page. Any questions can be directed to Mr Litchfield.
Lower Sixth UCAS2 Evening
Please note that the UCAS2 evening is due to take place on Friday 12 June 2015 starting at 5.30pm. This is an opportunity for boys and parents to discuss the progress of university plans with tutors and some heads of department. Further details will follow.
Music
Parents are encouraged to view next term’s Summer Music Calendar. Please note that on Friday 1 May the Chapel Choir are singing Evensong at Magdalen College at 6pm, whilst at 7.30pm the Thames Vale Youth Orchestra are playing at the Sheldonian Theatre. Parents might like to consider attending both events – the latter includes Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances and Sibelius’ wonderful tone poem, En Saga.
The Summer Concert next term is on the eve of Prize Giving Friday 26 June. This will be the final performance to be given by our leavers in our bands and orchestras.
