For the benefit of new parents, and those here last year, a NEW spreadsheet of trips details is on the website. The dates column on the July 2015 edition was misaligned with the rest of the data in the table, and this had now been rectified. Apologies.

The latest edition of the School's newsletter, Abingdon News, has been given to your son to bring home this week. Boys who are full boarders will have a copy posted home. Abingdon Michaelmas Fair: Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October and Abingdon Runaway Fair: Monday 12 October
Parents should expect that traffic flow in Abingdon will be severly disrupted by the Abingdon Fairs. On Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October vehicle entry to Park Road and Park Crescent will only be via the gate on Faringdon Road (along from the Coach Park).
Opening of Yang Science Centre – Invitation to all parents and pupils
All parents and pupils are warmly invited to attend the opening event for the Yang Science Centre on Thursday 15 October from 4.00 to 5.15pm. A Celebration of Abingdon Rowing – Saturday 3 October 2015
Anyone involved in rowing at Abingdon School, past or present, is invited to an afternoon at Abingdon School's Boathouse from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Pig roast lunch followed by rowing (optional) and afternoon tea. Special guest will be Sir David Tanner CBE (OA 1966), British Rowing's Performance Director. Medical matters
Please can parents keep the Health Centre updated of any changes to your son's health so that we can update our records accordingly. Asthma: all boys with asthma must carry their inhaler with them at school. We will hold a spare inhaler in the Health Centre for boys in case of an emergency.

The Joint Choral Society calls all singers!
There is warm reception awaiting singers amongst parents and staff of both schools who wish to sing in Rossini's wonderful Petite Messe Solennelle at a performance on Sunday 29 November. Rehearsals of this glorious work take place on Wednesday evenings, 7.30pm to 9pm in the CMR at Abingdon School (below the Chapel). All are most welcome!
