On Monday we welcomed international baritone Mark Stone for a vocal masterclass and recital. In the early afternoon, Mark worked with several of Abingdon’s singing students, providing them with fresh perspectives in their solo pieces. This not only helped in the development of these singers, but also provided an audience with ideas to take away for their own singing practice.
In the evening, Mark treated a busy Amey Theatre to a theatrical performance of Schubert’s famed Winterreise, accompanied by former Director of the Buxton Festival, Stephen Barlow. His performance was gripping and thoroughly well received, leaving the audience wanting more!
