First year pupils visited the remains of the Roman Baths at Bath, learning about the different ways that Romans worshipped their gods and encouraged the locals to ‘buy-in’ to the Roman Empire. As well as the favourite artefacts of the Sulis Pediment, the statue base of Memor the Haruspex and the undrinkable water, we were also treated to the rare sight of the Great Bath being cleaned – a Herculean task!
