The Abingdon Science Partnership (ASP) was delighted to run a primary science workshop again, this time virtually, with Oak Class from Buckland School. Led by Jeremy Thomas, ASP Coordinator, students investigated forces using Newton meters and water balloons, learnt why cosmonauts train underwater, and applied their knowledge by designing and testing their own rockets. James Stevens, Oak Class teacher, kindly gave us some lovely feedback: “I thought it was a fantastic workshop. The children had opportunities to listen to you, watch videos, share answers and have practical apparatus to work with”. Thanks so much to all the students and staff at Buckland for helping the online workshop to run so smoothly. We can’t wait to see you in the lab soon!
