Huge congratulations to our U15 rugby team who have reached the final of the RFU National Schools Plate competition. The competition is the largest schools rugby competition in the world with over 450 schools entering from up and down the UK. Last year’s final had over 35,000 live streams.
This this will be Abingdon’s first ever final. It is a wonderful achievement from the pupils and staff and we all look forward to this event immensely.
U15 team ‘route to the final’:
Round 1: v St Danes School 52-0
Round 2: v Reading Blue Coat School 44-12
Round 3: v The Crypt 34-12
Quarter-final: v Brighton College 50-24
Semi-final: v Exeter School 25-12
The Plate final will take place at the StoneX Stadium (Saracens’ home ground) on Tuesday 14 March, 12:00KO against RGS Worcester or Norwich School.
