Abingdon U15As beat Shiplake by 72 runs to be crowned County Champions.
Abingdon chose to bat first and amassed an imposing total of 180 for 3 in their allocated 20 overs. Captain Liam Hilditch led the way with 42 off only 31 deliveries at the top of the order and was ably supported by Oliver Deans (34) before Eliot Hyman (33), George Siriwardene (34 not out) and Karum Sangha (13 not out) continued the good work, helping to add 65 runs in the final 5 overs through a combination of lusty blows and excellent running.
Shiplake made a steady start, but were always behind the run rate and once Thomas Owen uprooted their danger batsman's middle stump the result was never in doubt. Owen Ravden picked up a couple of wickets in the middle overs before Charles Hobbs wrapped things up with 3 wickets in 9 balls to dismiss Shiplake for 108 to round off a comprehensive victory.
Abingdon now move into the regional rounds and play away against the winners of the Buckinghamshire competition after half term.
