Members of the Second Year stepped back in time on a trip to Caerleon in Wales to visit the remains of the legionary fort there. As well as looking round the military bathhouse and barracks, and viewing the exhibits in the excellent Roman army museum, they spent time at the well-preserved amphitheatre, where impromptu battles (and cricket matches!) broke out.
