In a tightly contested final regional match, they faced a strong Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School side in what proved to be a thrilling encounter. With the tie level at 2-2 after the four singles matches, everything came down to the doubles. Abingdon rose to the occasion, showing composure and teamwork under pressure. The pairs clinched both doubles matches, sealing a 4-2 overall victory.

The result sees Abingdon earn a coveted spot in the National Finals, where they will compete among the top 16 schools in the country. The team’s determination, resilience, and skill have brought them this far, and they will now be aiming to continue their remarkable journey on the national stage.
