The art department ran a trip to the Tate Britain to undertake some valuable research for the Sixth Form and scholars. Samuel in Lower Sixth states, “I found a William Blake room that was full of ethereal imagery that was suitable for my current project. I found it useful to learn about art history as it was displayed in a chronological order/ timeline.”

Max in Lower Sixth said, “I liked the installation of flashing light bulbs. They felt very dystopian, like we were running out of power in the world. There were also surreal works of art that challenged the way we see things we see in life. The works were imaginative, like dreams or nightmares.”

We all highly enjoyed the buzz of London and the charm of this eclectic art collection. It is very valuable for the students to see real life-sized work and encourages them to work at a higher level in their final exam unit.
