13 March 2023

At the beginning of March, the swimming team had a friendly competition with many schools, with a unique format. A wheel was spun and each girls’ school was given two intermediate and two senior Abingdon swimmers. There were some great swims from the likes of Dhruv Hegde, Tom Jackson and Alex De Beer, and some over enthusiasm from Joe Watkiss. Didcot Girls’ School and St Birinus came out on top, followed by Warwick, Kings Hill and Headington.

It was great to see the Abingdon pupils putting their all into swimming for their teams, as well as how welcoming the other teams were to us. It was also lovely to see swimmers who don’t usually represent the School being able to show off their skills and hard work. Thank you Mr Mason for putting it together, and thank you for all the swimmers making it such a fun experience!
