On Tuesday, over 90 enthusiastic Sixth Form students from across the OX14 Learning Partnership Schools took part in an inspiring and impactful training session, equipping them to become our newest Peer Support Leads. This essential training helps them support their peers and strengthen pastoral care within their individual schools.

The session focused on developing crucial skills such as empathetic listening and building rapport, empowering students to genuinely connect with and understand others. They also gained a clear understanding of their role, including vital safeguarding guidance, ensuring they are well-prepared to address concerns.

Beyond the key learning, the session fostered collaboration and connection between the students from across the different schools. This cross-school interaction enriches the support network across our community. The newly trained Peer Support Leads are now poised to make a significant positive difference, contributing to a culture of understanding, support, and wellbeing for younger students in each of their schools.
