The Primary Science Club took the annual Science Buddies Engineering Challenge organised and supported by the Abingdon School Science Ambassadors. This year the Challenge involved making a rubber band powered car with a restricted range of materials and applying the engineering design process to the building and testing of the car. In the final session each team had three chances to make their car travel as far as possible with the best entry travelling several metres. The teams from five primary schools attending the science club this term were superbly organised by Science Ambassadors Mack and Adrian making the competition entry process extremely easy. The Engineering Challenge is an international competition with thousands of entries but the teams are still excited to find out how well they have done!
