On Sunday, the 1st VII rugby squad played their inaugural tournament of the season at Collegiate School, Bristol. The tournament comprised 16 schools from the South West, with our 1st VII winning two out of three pool matches. The squad secured the runner-up position in their pool after defeating Downside and Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital, and losing narrowly to the hosts Collegiate School. Unfortunately, the 1st VII fell short in the Plate semi-final against Exeter School. However, despite the loss, the day was constructive and positive. The squad looks forward to attending the upcoming Surrey 7s taking place on Wednesday 6 March.
