Saturday was a terrific day for Abingdon School rugby, seeing 320 pupils represent the school in fixtures.
The morning saw our U13 A and B teams play Abingdon Prep School in two fantastically competitive fixtures. They are certainly going to prove formidable when they fuse together in our 3rd Year come September 2023! In the afternoon, we played Radley College. There were some highly competitive matches across the block with many incredible team efforts. The 1st XV lost a tight match 30-19, after coming back from 23-5 down to make it 23-19 before Radley scored with minutes to spare.
In the evening, we hosted our annual Touchliners black tie dinner with 150 guests and Andy Gomarsall (England Rugby RWC03 World Cup winner) as the guest speaker. Thank you to everyone’s support for the event.
The club now has a weekend break before final matches v RGS Guildford and Bedford School.
