Thirty local primary school children, and some of their parents, attended the first of a series of Royal Institution (RI) Maths Masterclasses in the ASP Lab at Abingdon School. This session, on Anamorphic Art, was led by Professor Alan Davies and Diane Crann from the RI, but the remaining five sessions will be entirely run by Abingdon School sixth form mentors. The three boys have already attended a training session run by the RI and have been preparing the masterclasses as their Gold DofE volunteering activity. They will also be assisted by volunteer mentors from Fitzharrys School as part of our ever stronger partnership links.
