A group of six Year 6 students, three from Dunmore and St Edmund’s respectively enjoyed an afternoon of learning about quadratics. This was taught by 6th form mentors, and overseen by Mr Cook and Mrs Sabah with the session run by Max Williams and Gavin Lam who carefully explained the difficult process of expanding quadratics using the ‘F.O.I.L’ method. The Year 6s clearly enjoyed having their mental capacities pushed and a couple were extremely keen to answer all the questions! The sessions run for two more weeks and it will be exciting to see how far the students maths knowledge has come.
