Remembrance Day took an unusual turn this year as we were unable to come together as a whole school due to the current lockdown restrictions. Town parade also did not take place, however, we still went and placed a wreath on the memorial in the town centre, paying our respects to those who went before us.

The school parade was pre-recorded along with the Headmaster’s and Chaplain’s address to the school. The Heads of School also read out the names of all those OAs who gave their lives. The recording was broadcast to the whole Foundation today in time for the two minutes silence at 11am.

The parade only involved the sixth form NCOs to allow for social distancing. In such unusual times we hope that we were all able to reflect at 1100hrs on Armistice day on what was given by so many – Lest we Forget.
