The Boat Club has started off the new year in strong fashion, with good results at Quintin and Wycliffe Heads. The senior squad and J16s raced at Quintin, with the Senior VIIIs coming a strong second in their respective categories in a good field. The J16s were 4th having just kicked off their training for real in January.

At Wycliffe Head, it was incredibly exciting to see the J15s have their first run-out of the season, after making the transition from sculling to sweep rowing – especially as they were able to field an impressive four crews. In relatively mixed crews, the squad came away with 2nd, 5th and 6th placings in their age groups and close to many schools first boats. The J16 As and Bs also raced, with the As bringing home the Novice category title stepping up to win over crews they’d previously raced at Quintin.
