As we approach the end of the academic year, we bid a fond farewell to our 2022/23 Peer Support Leads (PSLs) and thank them for all they have contributed towards our OX14 Learning Partnerships work. Being a PSL enables older students to offer invaluable support to younger peers from across the town, whilst at the same time developing their own leadership, listening and empathy skills. As the peer support programme enters its 5th year, we welcome our 2023/24 PSLs. Each had to pass a rigorous application and interview process and, on 6 June, embarked on their first training session at Larkmead School. Here, they met other PSLs from across OX14, learned about the role and skills they would need to employ; as well as exploring the importance of safeguarding. Congratulations to them and best of luck for the year ahead.
