ASP was delighted to run our first primary science workshop of the term with Year 6 pupils from Welford and Wickham Primary School. They started off by drawing a life-size outline of themselves and identifying as many organs as they could, before focusing on the heart. They learnt about the hearts of different animals (such as the huge heart of a blue whale!), investigated how body position affects your pulse, discussed how to keep your heart healthy, and measured blood pressure. A huge thank you as always to Mr Bliss for running the workshop and to Mrs Downes and Mr Ball for all your support.

For more information about the workshops we run, please take a look at our website. Mr Bliss’ biology workshops have been incredibly popular and he is all booked up for this term but there are plenty of slots available for chemistry and physics workshops.
