Seven physicists from the Fourth Year visited the House of Lords on Wednesday, for the All Party Parliamentary Engineering Group. Abingdon's boys sat alongside Lords, MPs, engineers from industry, and fellow students to discuss the future of the aerospace industry.
Topics included safety systems on aircraft, the environmental impact of air travel, and enticing young people into studying engineering. The students had a wonderful day (and wonderful lunch!) and were a great credit to the school.
