Twelve year 8 students from Fitzharrys school joined eight Abingdon 2nd years for the first of three maths mentoring sessions. Nine 6th formers from both schools researched, planned and delivered topics such as contextualised numbers, negative numbers and solving equations to the younger students helping them improve their curriculum knowledge while also learning communication skills, collaboration and an introduction to teaching. Science and English mentoring will take place in the Lent and Summer term and is a further example of the valuable collaboration Abingdon School has with Fitzharrys.
