Members of the Other Half Astronomy Club were able to demonstrate a range of methods for safely observing the partial solar eclipse today. During the morning break a number of other pupils and staff were also very excited to catch a glimpse of the event during breaks in the cloud cover. Methods ranged from the high tech solar telescope purchased for ASP’s GCSE Astronomy class by ASPA a few years ago to pinhole projectors built by third year Astronomy Club members.
