Earlier this week a group of five lower sixth students attended an all party parliamentary engineering group lunch and debate at the House of Lords. The title of the event was “Nuclear, the real story” with the main speeches delivered by the Chief Technology Officer at Rolls Royce, a Senior Stakeholder Relations Manager from EDF and the CEO of Radioactive Waste Management. Following the talks, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions of the panel members about various aspects of nuclear power. The day was very much enjoyed by all involved.
