Two days of Old Abingdonian football got underway as we welcomed back Alex Fisher, current professional footballer at Yeovil Football Club to lead some middle school football training sessions. On a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon the boys got to question Alex on his playing experiences, both in England and abroad, whilst also being put through their paces.
Class, pace and a great deal of talent were all on show on Saturday as we welcomed 34 Old Boys back to the second annual Abingdon School Football fixture at Tilsley Park. With leavers from 1978 through to 2017 all in attendance the players enjoyed a competitive, closely fought fixture followed by an enjoyable lunch and a chance to catch up with old friends whilst supporting the 1st XI in their 3-3 draw against St John’s Leatherhead.
