1C were the first First Year tutor group to have their My Mission lesson with Head of Career Guidance, Mr Triff. They were challenged to select nine values that they felt meant something to them from a list of over 50, and then had to cut those down to the five that were the most important. They then used those values to write their Mission Statement. Some extracts from these are below:
- My mission is to have a happy, loving family, and to give back to my parents. I would like to keep changing as a person and be someone that people can trust.
- My mission is to live life to the fullest, taking every opportunity. I’d like to be respected and for people to feel comfortable around me, with me also respecting them, not judging anyone.
- My mission is to live healthily and make sure I am always creating a good environment around me. I would like to achieve major things in my life, while making good friends along the way.
