The Abingdon boys who visited Moldova this summer took a large collection of reading books with them that had been donated by the English Department. These books have now been given to Petre Stefanuca High School and the local library in Ialoveni and are already being enjoyed by students keen to develop their English skills.
In addition, funds raised by the Abingdon group through a sponsored sport event last term have been used to buy a SMART TV for use in one of the classrooms in Petre Stefanuca High School and to set up a Young Entrepreneurs training course in Ialoveni which will provide regular lessons to a group of young people on how to set up and run a business.
